The member of the leadership of the DP, Grigels Muçollari, spoke about the protest that will take place tonight at 20:00 in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Muçollari said that today's protest will be a hurricane that will shake the foundations of society.

According to him, today it is necessary for protest to be the strongest and most powerful institution in Albania.  

"Today the citizens have given us a great support. I believe that it will be the biggest protest ever realized in the history of Albania and not only of pluralism.

It has been the responsibility of the opposition to make people believe that the opposition is doing opposition. We have had many problems in these 12 years of opposition. We proved that, and alone, without a stamp, without funds, without commissioners, with the leader of the opposition in political isolation, without facts, evidence and no accusations, he managed to show that the opposition is the spirit of this country.

In this respect we cannot expect everything to change in one day. Today's protest in my opinion will be a hurricane that will shake the foundations of this society. It will change the relationship between the exerciser of power and the citizen.

In my opinion, in such a transitional democracy as Albania is, protest should be a separate institution. And today there is a need for protest to be the strongest and most powerful institution in Albania.

The only way to succeed is through confrontation and protest and embracing the causes of citizens.

The protest is national. Citizens from the districts will definitely come, so Tirana will dominate the protest and Tirana will speak," said Grigels Muçollari./ CNA
