The Tirana police have taken measures for today's protest, which will take place in front of the Prime Minister's Office at 20:00. The blocking of some roads in the capital is expected to start at 18:00, until the end of the rally.
The road axes that will be blocked are: "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, "Nënë Tereza" square, "Ismail Qemali" street, the intersection of Elbasani Street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, "Papa John Paul II" street, "Zhan" boulevard D'Ark" and "Bajram Curri" boulevard, from the intersection of Elbasani Street with "Ibrahim Rugova" Street.
The Tirana Police calls on all participants in the rally to distance themselves from any act that threatens their safety and life, and any act of violence against Police officers, media representatives or the participants themselves.
Police Notification:
The Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, in implementation of the tasks defined in the plan of measures drawn up by the State Police, has taken the necessary measures, in order to guarantee order and security, before, during and after the end of the gathering that will take place on the day today, on 11.07.2024, at 20:00, in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
We inform the citizens that starting today, at 18:00, until the end of the rally, the circulation of vehicles will not be allowed on the following roads:
"Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, "Mother Teresa" square, "Ismail Qemali" street, the intersection of Elbasan Street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, "Pope John Paul II" street, "Zhan D'Ark" boulevard and "Bajram" boulevard Curri", from the intersection of Elbasani Street with "Ibrahim Rugova" Street.
The police ask for the understanding of citizens to avoid driving vehicles on these roads and to use alternative routes, in order not to hinder the free movement of participants in the rally.
The Local Directorate of the Tirana Police fully respects the right of citizens to organize and participate in rallies and calls on the organizers, leaders, participants in rallies, and representatives of political entities to exercise their right in accordance with the Constitution and the legislation in force.
In this context, the Police of Tirana calls on all participants in the rally to distance themselves from any act that threatens their safety and life, and any act of violence against Police officers, media representatives or the participants themselves.
The police guarantee the citizens that they have taken all the measures to fulfill their institutional responsibilities, to guarantee order and security, before, during and after the end of the gathering, as well as to guarantee road safety, throughout the country, especially in the squares. and in the road segments, in which the rally will take place./ CNA
