The political leader of the PD for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, has revealed the scandal involving the mayor Erion Veliaj.
A guest on the show Te Paespozuarit with Ylli Rakipin Kelliçi has revealed the documents for the following payments for the "5D" company, which was owned by the former directors of the municipality who are behind bars.
Kelliçi stated that on May 28, 2024, two payments were made by the Municipality of Tirana for the construction of pedestrian and bicycle lanes to the 5D company.
He said that thousands of euros were paid for a project that does not exist.
"It is in the project won by 5D in 2021, 587 thousand euros for a pedestrian and bicycle track and it should have been finished in May 2022. The company "5D" has been paid more than 50 percent of the total amount, more than 307 thousand euros. Two payments were made by the municipality of Tirana on May 28, 2024 for the construction of pedestrian and bicycle lanes. Since this company has not been seized, yesterday, while we were at the 9th protest, thousands of euros were paid for this non-existent project. On May 28, two invoices were liquidated", said Belind Kelliçi./ CNA
