Majlinda Bregu and Federica Mogherini sign the Memorandum of Understanding

Majlinda Bregu, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and Federica Mogherini, Rector of the College of Europe, signed today in Tirana a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the further development and strengthening of cooperation between the two institutions.

"Strengthening human capital, creating employment opportunities, fostering youth skills are at the focus of RCC's agenda, therefore the main purpose of this Memorandum is to enable RCC to provide a full scholarship, every year, for one student from Southeast Europe, including the Western Balkans, at the College of Europe, Tirana Campus. This is a first-time initiative by RCC. It is an undertaking more than what we have done so far for the youth agenda - policy improvement, mobility programs, paid internships - more than 30 students have been interns at RCC-, open talks, university visits, etc. ," said Ms. The coast.

"We are pleased that the Regional Cooperation Council has decided to support the College of Europe in the historic construction of our new campus in Tirana, through a new scholarship scheme. The scholarship offered by RCC will cover tuition, board and lodging and, among other things, academic study trips. The supported researcher will be selected by candidacy, in accordance with the requirements of the College of Europe. The courses will start in August./ CNA
