The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vëngu, was closely acquainted with the coordinating actions of the National Civil Defense Agency at the national level and the reaction of all the forces engaged near the fires in these days with extreme temperatures.

In his visit to the National Operational Center of Civil Protection, Vëngu emphasized the need to ensure the real-time identification of outbreaks and to have the fastest possible response to situations.

"The modernization of tools, systems and equipment in order to cope with emergencies in every municipality of the country is a priority and we will continue to invest strongly in this direction", Vengu emphasized, underlining that "AKMC is an instrument available to the local government, and prefects to engage a wide range of national resources and to have a faster management of situations".

Another aspect of good emergency management is the awareness of residents and entities responsible for taking preventive measures.

"The National Civil Protection Agency will continue to invest in increasing the capacities of emergency personnel of Municipalities and raising awareness of communities in risk areas", he said. 

"We must definitely pay attention to the preventive element and the awareness of the communities for certain reactions in the face of certain risks, then the intervention is even faster and more efficient", said the Minister of Defense. /CNA
