Protest in front of Tirana City Hall

Today's protest in front of Tirana City Hall, the 19th in number, lasted about 45 minutes. 

The citizens defied the high temperatures and demanded the resignation of the mayor Erion Veliaj, while there were also calls for the latter's arrest. 

In today's protest, there were no incidents or tire burning.

At one point, some protesters threw eggs in the direction of the town hall building. 

It is reported that the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, was in the office at the time when the opposition rally took place.

Meanwhile, the police had placed a fence in front of the building, where there were not a few officers. 

Present at the protest, in addition to citizens and activists, were deputies Luciano Boçi, Flamur Noka, as well as other representatives of the DP and the opposition. / CNA
