On July 31, 1948, two priests, two leaders of faith in God, two priests, two intellectuals of Albanian culture were killed in Koplik of the Great Highlands in inhumane torture.

Dom Lekë Sirdani and Dom Pjetër Çuni were two prominent figures, not only of the Catholic Church, but also worthy representatives of Albanian culture and intellectuals of their time.
