The Ministry of Defense announces that 33 fires have been extinguished in the last 24 hours, out of 39 reported fires.

According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, fires continue to be active today in: Bode forest area, Maliq municipality, Skuraj village, Kurbin municipality, Malin e Kakarriq, Lezhë municipality, Gjadër village, Lezhë municipality, Zavalinë village, municipality Elbasan and Kus village, Tirana municipality.

Local government structures, supported by those at the central level, are working today to fully extinguish these fires. Currently, the fireplaces do not pose a risk to residential areas.

About 1,400 operational forces with 75 vehicles and the Cougar helicopter participated in the last firefighting operations.

"We call on the citizens to report on time to the emergency numbers for any problem. The National Agency of Civil Protection will continue to monitor the situations and will engage all capacities at the national and international level," the announcement states./CNA
