Protest in front of Tirana municipality

A few minutes ago, protests started in front of the Municipality of Tirana.

Citizens revolted and angry with the head of the municipality, Erion Veliaj, mentioning the corrupt affairs that happened in this municipality, have thrown eggs towards the walls of the Municipality of Tirana. 

Meanwhile, in his speech, Tedi Blushi said that they will not stop until they drag Erion Veliaj out of the office. 

"Citizens do not have water and bread, the purpose of this government is robbery. Erion Veliaj will be dragged from this office. Erion Veliaj will receive the punishment he deserves", he said. 

The protests in front of this municipality are taking place because of the scandals that happened in this institution, such as the incinerator affair and the "5D" file, where a number of directors were arrested after SPAK investigations.

Even Veliaj himself was questioned by SPAK about the incinerator affair, while the court issued other security measures a few days ago, by order of the special prosecutor./ CNA
