The incinerators are the theft of the century, a mega-affair that has swallowed hundreds of millions of euros from the pockets of poor Albanians, from Elbasan, to Fier and ends in Tirana.

Fier's incinerator is not finished, Elbasan's is an oil boiler that needs millions of euros to operate, and Tirana's does not exist, it is a phantom incinerator.

For this ghost incinerator of Tirana, investigations continue and senior officials have gone behind bars and arrest warrants have been issued for dozens of other people, and the brains of the incinerators, as SPAK calls them, Mirel Mërtiri and his associate Klodian Zoto, have been announced as international wanted .

But recently, CNA has learned that in addition to Mirel Mërtir and Klodian Zoto, the administrators of the Tirana incinerator, the people who covered the shell company in the Netherlands, have also been announced in international search.

It is learned that Michael Peter Druijts and Marc Richard Lappat have been announced as wanted internationally.  These citizens are part of the third group of persons declared wanted a few weeks ago, on July 16, where SPAK gave details of the investigations and arrest warrants that were issued for 8 persons.

"The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with decision no. 69, dated 12.07.2024, has assigned the security measure "arrest in prison" to eight citizens with the initials DY, GC, DT, ML, MD, ID, EH and R.N", SPAK announces.

CNA has been able to ensure from official sources that from July 16, when SPAK issued the official announcement regarding the arrest warrants for the Tirana incinerator, which included Michael Peter Druijts and Marc Richard Lappat recently after the court decisions and the request of SPAK Interopoli has announced the international search for the latter two.

Now, not only Mirel Mërtiri and Klodian Zoto and dozens of their associates or officials who are behind bars, but also the main administrators, the people who covered all the actions for the Tirana incinerator, are now wanted internationally and are wanted by Albanian justice and SPAK for the corrupt affair of the incinerators and structured criminal group.

The participants of this structured criminal group have benefited from the above monetary values, as products of the criminal offense, by taking the monetary values ??from the bank account of the concessionaire company "Integrated Energy BV SPV" sh.pk, thanks to fraud through the creation of fictitious invoices , thanks to fictitious companies created inside and outside the country, as well as through the withdrawal of monetary values ??in cash.
