The political leader of the PD for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, has made public the document of the World Bank for the cleanup of Tirana, which Erion Veliaj uses to justify the plan for the construction of the incinerator and the increase of the fee for the cleanup of Tirana.

Kelliçi stated in the show The Unexposed with Ylli Rakip, that Albanian citizens do not pay, as Veliaj said, 38 euros/ton, but 93 euros/ton for the cleaning of Tirana, where he makes the calculations that lead to this figure.

"This document is not found, it has disappeared and I got it a few days ago. It is the 2014 IFC feasibility study of the World Bank. Veliaj said that he had a fee of 38 euros per ton for the cleaning of Tirana, for which we pay 16 million euros per year.

This study envisaged the cleaning of Tirana, the collection of waste, the expansion of the Sharra landfill, their storage and processing, and they did this whole process for 250 thousand tons per year at 38 euros per ton.

We pay Eco Tirana. We pay 16 million euros for collection and bins. 16 million euros for 250 thousand tons, it is 64 euros per ton. Plus 29 euros per ton for storage, only cleaning for 250 thousand tons, has brought the cleaning of Tirana to 93 euros per ton. It is unimaginable theft", said Kelliçi./ CNA
