The project, as it has now been proven, had to do with the creation of a chimeric coronavirus through genetic engineering, which had the furin segment added to make it pathogenic for humans, and then its efficiency was evaluated in transgenic mice. which are mice produced with human genes, in other words the same virus as Sarscov2. This project was not approved by Darpa in 2018.
