The Supreme Court dismisses Dritan Dajti's request for the dismissal of Judge Simoni

On Friday, the Supreme Court rejected Dritan Dajti's request for the dismissal of judge Sandër Simoni.

Not only that, but the court fined Dajti 10,000 ALL. 

We remind you that Dritan Dajti has been sentenced by the Court of First Instance to life imprisonment for the murder of 4 officers Kastriot Feskaj, Altin Dizdari, Sajmir Duçkollari and Fatos Xhani.

Event recorded on August 7, 2009, in Durrës, during an operation to arrest him.

However, in February 2019, the Court of Appeal of Serious Crimes accepted Dajti's request for a shortened trial, sentencing the latter to 25 years in prison. 

This decision was then appealed by the Serious Crimes Appeals Prosecution, which demands Dajti's sentence to life imprisonment.

The case is now in the Supreme Court. /CNA
