The governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, in an activity about the role of banks in the process of Albania's integration into the EU, said that this process offers many challenges and serious priorities for the banking sector.
Sejko said that the integration process means an increase in the financial cycle of the EU, which has brought considerable consequences to the financial and economic market of Albania.
He added that the banking industry should be aware that there will be competition in the profit margin to take measures to face the challenges.
"The regulatory framework provides a good starting point for addressing them. The integration process means an increase in the financial cycle of the EU. There have been significant consequences in the financial and economic market.
The process offers serious challenges and priorities for the banking sector.
The banking industry must be made aware of the competition in the profit margin to take action.
The Bank of Albania will make its positive contribution to EU integration", said Sejko./ CNA
