Gasification of Korça/ Balluku: It will be completed in 2027

The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, spoke from Azerbaijan about the gasification of Korça.

Balluku said that the project will start in Korça in 2025 and will end in 2027.

Then, she announced that the gasification will also be extended to Pogradec and Erseke, to continue throughout Albania.

The Deputy Prime Minister underlined that throughout Albania the gasification process is planned to be completed in 2030.

"It is expected that this project will start in 2025 to be delivered in 2027. What we aim for is to cover an entire distribution network throughout the city of Korça, but also in the businesses that operate in this city.

It should be borne in mind that the more the gasification of Albania is extended, based on the strategic plan for the gasification of the country, the more the costs will decrease in terms of this product that will be given to the citizens.

In the beginning, the state will of course start by supporting this new procedure, this new product and new service, but then by expanding this in the Pogradec area and in the Erseka area, and bearing in mind that we intend to industry to have the alternative of choosing energy, that is, not only the use of electricity, but also of gas, we predict that this gasification of the country will continue until 2030, covering most of the cities, which also have parts industrial or businesses that are supported by the gas industry", emphasized the deputy prime minister./ CNA
