Five people have fallen into the handcuffs of the Saranda police after they are accused of towing without permission a sailing vessel, seized by the police, that was anchored in the port of Limion.

The 5 arrested citizens are members of the crew of the fishing vessel that towed the sailing vessel from the place where it was kept by the Border Police.

Following the investigative actions carried out for this case, the following citizens were arrested in the act:

- AN, 53 years old, fishing boat driver;

- AE, 55 years old, SG, 40 years old, ME, 43 years old and IA, 34 years old, all four Egyptian nationals, fishing workers.

Also, following the actions for this case, the specialists of the Police Surveillance Agency (Vlora/Gjirokastër Region) referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for the police officer Inspector AM, with the duty of the service corps at the Police Station. Sarandë border, as he did not take measures to preserve the seized sailing vessel and did not ascertain the absence of the vessel, after leaving the service.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions./ CNA
