The mayor of Kuçova, Kreshnik Hajdari, has been charged by the Special Prosecutor's Office. It is learned that Hajdari has been charged with falsifying forms.

A day ago, Hajdari escaped the removal of his mandate in the Central Election Commission, while today his position has been made more difficult by the communication of the charge by SPAK prosecutors.

The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, stated that there is no legal reason to terminate Hajdar's mandate, even though he did not declare the sentence in Greece in the decriminalization form. 

"In his judgment and assessment, and it is logical for any such case, he has not submitted such data for a criminal trial, the decision is criminal. This was unnecessary to declare, under his assessment, this does not matter to us. This data does not constitute, does not include it in the conditions of the detention due to the criminal offense, the fact that he did not declare it remains a matter of discussion. He had an obligation to declare this data. Even in respecting the precedents created by this institution since 2020, we have held the position that the self-declared subject has no obligation to foresee circumstances or causes. This is a consolidated position. There is no obligation to include data that does not constitute a reason to ran. I appreciate that there is no legal reason for the Kuçovo mayor's mandate to be terminated", said Celibashi. 

A few days ago, the Greek judiciary forwarded to the Albanian Ministry of Justice, a decision stating that the mayor of Kuçova, Kreshnik Hajdari, was convicted by the court of Ioannina, while in the self-declaration form he said that he was not convicted.

The court in Ioannina has found Hajdar guilty of entering the Greek territory illegally and sentenced him on June 23, 1999 with a "re-education measure of reprimand"
