The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, during the signing of the joint instruction for the prohibition of noise in residential areas, emphasized that citizens or entities that cause noise in urban areas will be fined. 

Balla underlined that the sale of fireworks is allowed for a period of 15 days, due to the holidays, from December 15 to January 1. He specified that their use is allowed from December 27 to January 1.

"In accordance with this instruction, the State Police is the institution responsible for taking measures for any type of activity that causes noise. We determine the permitted noise levels, which must be respected by all citizens and economic entities. The practice of throwing than fireworks in the late hours of the night, disrupting the peace of the night, the State Police together with the Municipal Police will exercise controls for every source of noise. They will punish anyone, whether private economic operators who violate the measures. In addition to the fine , the closure of the activity can be decided according to the law, temporarily or permanently. The law is very clear, it has defined a deadline of only 15 days for trading fireworks from December 15 to January 1. Their use is allowed from December 27 to on January 1", said Balla./ CNA
