"My meetings with..."
This is the title of the journalist's newest book, Blendi Fevziu.
In an interview for Klan TV, Fevziu spoke about one of the characters that is part of the book, the great writer Petro Marko.
Fevziu confessed that he has a very strong reason why he chose him.
Besides the extraordinary novels that he has given to Albanian readers, Fevziu says that in the second and last meeting with him, Marko told him a phrase that "he will never forget". His advice, says Fevziu, has helped him in many difficult moments.
"I have met Petro Marko only twice in my life, a slightly longer meeting and a very formal meeting, I mean short. However, Petro Marko told me a phrase that I will never forget and only from that phrase I wanted him to be a part of this compilation. Because it was something that the first moment he told me I didn't reflect, I was disconnected. When I went home, I called him again, I said he told me something amazing and it has not been removed from my mind throughout my life. I mean, whenever I have moments of difficulty... Man has his own challenges in life, whenever you are tired, sad, something is not going well... The first thing I remembered was that word of Petro Marko. Petro Marko was a character that today you say "where did he find, where did he find that courage and energy of that man who had not tried anything in his life, that is, a thousand and one blacks.", he said Fevzi.
Regarding the last meeting, Fevziu said:
"I met him the last time I spent a little longer, he was on the street with Xhevahir Spahiu. He was a tall, charming man. He was at the end of his life, he passed away a few months ago. At the moment we were discussing something, the second time that Xhevahir Spahiu, who was the same one who had met us the first time, tried to introduce me, he said "Oh, I know Blendin", because when I had published my first articles in the newspapers, there was noise. "I know him, he said, I've read his reports", he was giving me a couple of small remarks that "write like this, write like that", he was sitting, so he was prolonging the conversation." , he said.
Fevziu says that he has read his novels.
"At one point when I was parting, I said "I want to come to your house to meet you", it was still that feeling of the first moments, of becoming known at the age of 21, I had a rush that almost doesn't exist a man in normal conditions and he said to me "look son, boy, everything leaves you in life, the only thing that never leaves you is your work". When I remembered and thought about it, I said this man who had problems in the family, problems with his wife, problems with the regime, to which he had contributed, problems with all the regimes in Albania, in fact only his works left him. And I adored him from the works, because I knew him. I had read his novels and at the end of the day when you think about it, a person carries his work like a bag on his back even when it is not visible and never betrays," said the journalist/tvklan.al
