The name of the school in Bujanoc is changed / From "Desanka Maksimović" to "Ismail Kadare"

The municipal assembly in Bujanoc has voted in favor of changing the name of the primary school in the village of Bilaç, from "Desanka Maksimovic" to "Ismail Kadare".

The news was announced by the chairman of the National Council of Albanians in the Presheva Valley, Nevzat Lutfiu.

Nevzat Lutfiu thanked the councilors who voted for this change.

This is the first step for changing the name of this school as the last word belongs to the Ministry of Education.

"I call on the minister to judge the initiative for changing the name correctly, bearing in mind that the new proposal for the school to have the name "Ismail Kadare" is an honor and a privilege not only for the school and the locality, since we are dealing with a writer of international proportions", says Lutfiu. / CNA
