A few months after securing funds from international partners and investors, changes in the budget made by the Albanian government and full approval by the Ministry of Infrastructure in the summer season, high-speed works have begun on the three lots of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë national road. .

CNA has brought dozens of articles and reactions regarding the construction of this road.

According to the photos provided today, the pace of work in the 3rd lot, especially the Qukës-Qafë Plloë axis, is at a high pace.

Multiple tools are visible, working to perform the volumes of earthmoving, track, bridges and everything else lot 3 has.

An investment, which seems to be already moving at the right pace and very soon Korça and Tirana will have an even shorter connection after the completion of the Tirana-Elbasan tunnel and the beginning of the investment of the Elbasan-Qafë Thane road.

The Qukës-Qafë Pllë axis brings the city of Korçë no more than 120 kilometers from the capital. So with the new rates of vehicle movement and the completion of the road, the Korçë-Tirana distance is claimed to be completed in no more than 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The pace of works in the 3rd lot seems quite high, while the works in the other 2 lots continue, which are more advanced because they have secured financing.

Now for a period of about 18 months it is expected that everything will be finished. CNA has also learned that very soon it will be possible to avoid climbing the Ploca Pass, which is quite difficult in the winter season.

A new road axis has been completed to bypass Qafa e Plloça and it is already expected that there will be major works at the intersection of Qafa Plloça-Dardhaz where there will be a large rest area, which will connect the road axis of the national network Qukës -Qafë Plloë with the city of Korçë, but also to make avoiding the ascent of Qafë-Plloë one of the most difficult along the route to the southeastern city.

It is expected that the roundabout on Qafë-Plloçë and its bypass will be completed within this year
