KPA reconfirms Tirana prosecutor, Arben Agovi, in office

The Special Appeals Chamber has today decided to uphold the decision issued in 2023 by the Independent Qualification Commission, which confirmed the prosecutor of the Prosecution Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, Arben Agovi.

Announcement:

The panel of the Special Appeals Chamber, composed of Albana Shtylla as presiding judge, Rezarta Schuetz as rapporteur, Mimoza Tasi, Natasha Mulaj, Sokol Çomo as members, announced the decision on case no. 6/2024, dated 14.02.2024, which concerns the appeal of the Public Commissioner against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 724, dated 13.12.2023, relating to the re-evaluation subject Arben Agovi.

At the end of the trial, the panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter “a” of Law No. 84/2016, “On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, unanimously decided:

Upholding the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 724, dated 13.12.2023, concerning the re-evaluation subject Arben Agovi. /CNA
