Budget 2026/ 3.2 billion lek foreseen for the Ministry of Environment

In the Committee on Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development, the Minister of Environment, Sofjan Jaupaj, is presenting the draft law for the 2026 budget for this ministry.

Jaupaj stated that the Ministry of Environment has prepared the budget while maintaining the limits foreseen in the four budget programs. He announced that the total budget for 2026 for the Ministry of Environment is 3 billion and 239 million lekë, while specifying the expenditures for the respective sectors.

"The Ministry of Environment has prepared the budget while maintaining the limits foreseen in four budget programs, specifically planning, management, administration; environmental protection, forest administration and urban waste management.

The budget according to the 2026 draft budget is as follows:

Salary and expenses: 1 billion 147 million 850 thousand lekë

Operating expenses: 338.4 million lekë

Internal transfers: 5 million lek

Investments: 20 million lek

Special fund: 1.7 million lek

Investments: 1 billion 136 million

Foreign financing worth 590 million lek.

"The total budget for 2026 for the Ministry of Environment is 3 billion and 239 million ," the minister said.
