The 2026 budget provides 456 million lek for the Central Election Commission

The Committee on Civic Initiatives announced that the budget for the CEC for 2026 will be 465 million lek, of which 187.3 million lek are expenses for salaries and social security, 105.2 million lek are expenses for goods and services, 48.5 million lek are transfer items, and 64.6 million lek are expenses for investments.

"The budget for 2026 is 456 million lek, of which 187.3 million lek are expenditures for salaries and social security, 105.2 million lek are expenditures for goods and services, 48.5 million lek are transfers and 64.6 million lek are expenditures for investments.

The number of employees for 2026 is projected to be 95 employees. Compared to 2025, excluding the May 11 fund addition, expenses have decreased by 24%. Salary expenses have increased by 4.6%, investment expenses have decreased.

"There have been a number of recommendations from the Assembly for which funding is requested. One of the recommendations has to do with infrastructure for voters with disabilities," said Aulona Bylykbashi./ CNA
