Today at 12:00 o'clock the questioning session of the former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj has been scheduled. The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) will hold this Monday the session for questioning the former Minister of Health.

Ilir Beqaj is accused of abuse of office by SPAK in relation to the investigations that were carried out for the concession of sterilization of medical instruments.

On Saturday, Beqaj was ordered to appear before the judicial police officer every Friday, while he was also ordered not to leave the country without an authorization from the court.

Former Deputy Minister of Health Klodjan Rrjepaj and businessman Ilir Rrapaj were arrested for the same issue, the sterilization concession. They are under investigation for abuse of office and falsification of documents. Both are in the cell while the court rejected their request for freedom.

Earlier, in August of this year, the Special Court asked the prosecution to extend the investigations to the responsibility of six other people, including the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj./ CNA
