The annual report of the Albanian Public Radio and Television, submitted to the Parliament of Albania recently, shows that the revenue from the sale of advertising fell by 67% last year, which prompted the government to give more money from Albanians' taxes to cover the expenses of to this public institution for employee payments. Meanwhile, the government has not yet calculated the money it has to give to the employees who were unjustly fired due to the mood of the head of this institution, Mr. Alfred Peza.

There are dozens of files filed in court awaiting a decision on the orders given by director Peza for dismissal in complete violation of the law.

In the 300-page report, the administration of "Captain" Peza boasts about the increase in followers on "Instagram" and "TikTok", but apparently they forget a small detail that makes a big difference.

The followers have actually increased after the posts on the network of the blunders of the presenters selected with such care by the director himself for the "high cultural level", but who in fact had never heard of the "Auschwitz camp".

If we were to take a quick look at the official website of the VAT, on "YouTube", the central news editions of the VAT, does not exceed 200 views. We don't know where these followers are located that have increased so much according to the all-knowing director, but who just runs a public media apparently doesn't know.

According to the report, the revenues of Albanian public television from the sale of advertisements have fallen to only 72 million lek, (720 thousand euros) during the year 2023, compared to 217 million lek that they had in 2022, a dramatic drop of 67% , as well as the lowest level of income in at least three years.

The data have been published in the annual report of this institution, filed for review in the Parliament of Albania. The report does not contain explanations as to why this decrease in income occurred, except for the dry conclusion that it was 48% of the annual plan.

Apparently the theory of Mr. the director did not work, since upon taking office he had promised to make a name for himself with advertising revenue, putting pressure on employees to find advertisements, since each show would be self-financed through sponsorships.

However, no commercials are played on the public television screen, except for sports advertising about how the broadcasting studios are painted, or the building itself, premises that the director himself proudly presents to every person who receives the authorization to enter the premises of the VAT- which, since the arrival of Peza, have turned into a prison for the employees of this institution.

After the tour that the captain himself gives to the "visitors", accompanying them to every area of ??this institution, even to the toilets, he does not leave them without treating them to a coffee in the bar that he has recently opened inside the institution, which evil voices say it is owned by his immigrant son in England.

The institution's spies now have to observe all the employees who drink coffee and eat pie outside the bar, since according to the latest balances, the income from the bar is decreasing. In contrast to the captain sleeping peacefully and not going to the premises of the institution at 5:00 in the morning terrorizing the employees, due to the paranoia that is leaving him sleepless, the government should make another financing of directly from taxpayers through the state budget, now not for employee salaries, but for the director's office.

After the funding that the government increased by 50 million new lek, last year, to fill the holes created by the director, the latter did not hesitate to put them in his own pockets and those of his associates by inventing ways of rewarding employees of distinguished, and finally collecting them in a single account, that of Capt. Peza.

According to the report, public television usually has around 1,000 employees, while salary expenses increased last year, reaching 1.1 billion ALL. Albanians finance public television through a tax paid by every family in the country in the amount of 100 lek per month, which constitutes 60% of the public broadcaster's income./ CNA
