Violence among IKMT officials/ Afrin Qendro dismisses them from duty

The Head of the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection, Afrim Qendro, has dismissed the Director of the Environmental Inspection at IKMT, Klesti Çela.

The dismissal came after an altercation that occurred today between Çela and the Director of Decision Execution at IKMT, Fatmir Meta. The latter was assaulted by Çela and other individuals.

Another person dismissed after this event is Ervin Bixha, advisor to the chief inspector of IKMT.

Meanwhile, Fatmir Meta has been suspended from duty.

Official sources told CNA that the dispute between officials occurred over the land issue.

The dispute began after an order issued by the head of the IKMT to control and inspect all areas where soil has been dumped without criteria for a year.
