A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Korça on charges of illegal possession of a weapon. According to police information, he was in possession of a pen-sized pistol with cartridges.

Citizen E.Xh. was arrested for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition." Meanwhile, the weapon was seized by the police as material evidence.

In continuation of the work to crack down on the criminal activity of illegal possession of weapons and increased controls to increase security parameters, the structures of the Korça Police Department, in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, based on information obtained operationally that a citizen possessed illegal firearms, organized the work and located the suspect citizen in a bar in the village of Podgorie, Maliq.

During the physical search, a suspected pistol with cartridges, similar to a pen, was found on citizen E. Xh., which was seized as material evidence.

At the end of the actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Maliq Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", citizen E. Xh., 32 years old, resident of the village of Podgorie, Maliq.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
