An Albanian government decision has approved the creation of an electronic registry for people who play games of chance.

This register will serve to establish the prohibition of these individuals from entering gambling premises, websites, applications or electronic platforms where gambling can be played, according to the licensed category, as well as the rules for submitting, reviewing, approving, canceling or rejecting requests to deny persons access to gambling premises.

Based on the VKM, this register will be accessible by all organizers of the relevant category of gambling, licensed under Law No. 155/2015, "On Games of Chance in the Republic of Albania", as amended.

According to the decision, the request to prevent a person from entering gambling premises or websites, applications or electronic platforms is made through the "eAlbania" portal by the player himself or by one of his family members, such as his spouse, parents, adult child or another person living with the player in the same household. 

The decision also states that the AMLF (Gaming Supervisory Authority) stores the data generated, in accordance with the legislation in force on the protection of personal data.

The AMLF notifies the applicant in writing at the postal address/through the "e-Albania" portal of the decision taken./ CNA
