The judge of the Special Appeal Panel (KPA), Ardian Hajdari, was sentenced this Wednesday for concealing wealth.

It is known that Hajdari was sentenced to 1 year in prison, but his imprisonment was converted to 2 years of probation.

As of February 7, 2022, Hajdari has been suspended from his post at KPA, after being charged by SPAK.

Hajdari was criminally charged in June 2020 by former magistrates Antoneta Sevdari, Elsion Sadiku and Ervin Metalla.

The report referred to his statement that he had been working as a lawyer for 17 years.

At the time when the judge made the declaration to the High Inspectorate for the Declaration and Control of Assets and Conflict of Interest, ILDKPKI in 2017 in function of his application for a position in the vetting institutions, left the column related to income empty previously established by the bar.

Apart from the fact that he left this section of the property declaration blank, it turned out that he did not correct it when he was asked at the ILDKPKI.

According to the verifications carried out, Hajdari has represented dozens of cases as a lawyer for several years, but he has not declared the earned income in taxes.

SPAK notes that for many years, Hajdari has been filing with the tax authorities tax declarations with zero value or any declaration of negligible value. Also, the investigation showed that he maintained the same position even after the tax audit carried out due to the request for deregistration, reflecting an activity with almost 'zero' income./ CNA
