The frosts that have covered the southeast for several days have brought problems as far as the citizens are concerned.

In three of the municipalities of the southeastern region, namely Korçë, Pogradec and Devoll, there have been cases of people who slipped on the sidewalks as a result of layers of ice.

25 cases were recorded in Pogradec, of which 15 with fractures, 13 cases in the Korca emergency and 2 cases in the Bilishti hospital. Three of these cases were sent to Tirana due to the severe fractures they suffered.

Orthopedist Vasfi Topçiu has shown from Pogradeci the situation in which the citizens have faced and the fractures they have suffered. Among other things, he says that the injured are over 50 years old and retired, stressing the care they should take.

"There have been cases associated with trauma, so far there are 25 traumatized, of which about 15 have suffered fractures. They are mostly middle-aged and adults," said the doctor. 

For the southeast, a total of 40 people with trauma and fractures were presented in the last 72 hours. According to the information received, in Maliq and Kolonje there were no people presented at the health centers./ CNA
