In the Special Appeal, the hearing is held for the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, who requests permission to take the oath.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Vangjel Dule was hit with an egg by a citizen while he was going to attend the court session. 

The Greek ambassador is also present at today's session.

Fredi Beleri was arrested two days before the local elections on May 14 last year under charges of "active corruption in elections". He is accused of buying votes.

The reactions of the official Athens regarding this arrest have not been few. But the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, is determined that this is already a matter of justice. /CNA
