How much longer will he insult the intelligence of Albanians?

On the one hand, the cry is clearly heard in the protests: "Rama in prison!", "Berisha in prison!". A cry that leaves no room for misunderstanding, because it is not directed only against the government, but against the entire old political class. Against those who Albanians consider part of the problem and not the solution.

The protesters are not asking for the replacement of one with another. They are rejecting the entire political model that has dominated Albania for more than three decades.

However, Sali Berisha declares that he has sought international support for these protests. As if the protest were his. As if the protesters had taken to the streets to bring him back to the center of the political scene.

In fact, this is precisely why the revolt has arisen. Many of the protesters do not want either Rama or Berisha. They do not want a rotation of old faces. They demand the removal of a political model that has held Albanians hostage among the same protagonists for more than three decades.

Therefore, when you hear Berisha, who doesn't even dare to physically approach the protest, you ask yourself: How long will he continue to insult our intelligence? How long will his attempt to sell Albanians black for white continue?

When a section of protesters calls out your name along with that of your political opponent and demands that you both face justice, how can you claim to be acting on their behalf? When the message of the protest is the rejection of the political establishment, how can you present yourself as its moral sponsor?

The inability to understand that not every protest is at the disposal of the opposition and not every popular revolt is a springboard for the return of worn-out figures may be characteristic of people who are out of touch with politics, but not of Berisha, who, by trying to present this revolt as his political property, insults the intelligence of Albanians.

Albanians may have many problems, but they are not so naive as not to recognize the difference between a protest against the system and the system's attempt to take them over.
