Trump: Secret military mission freed 100 million barrels of oil from Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump announced the "liberation" of 100 million barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.

Through a post on the "Social Truth" platform, Trump revealed that the barrels of oil were transported through a secret mission by the US military.

The head of the White House said that after their receipt, the oil was channeled into the market.

"Last month, I ordered our great American military to conduct a secret mission to support oil tankers and other commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Today, I am pleased to announce that this effort has resulted in more than 100 million barrels of oil passing through the Strait and being released to market. More than 200 commercial vessels have safely navigated through the Strait. This highly successful effort is due to the fact that THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CONTROLS the Strait of Hormuz - NOT Iran. Their military has been defeated and their economy has been destroyed. Iran, the end!" Trump wrote. /CNA
