Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has again refused to appear at today's session at the GJKKO to be questioned. Meanwhile, his lawyers Genci Gjokutaj and Sokol Mengjesi have arrived near the court premises.
Berisha has declared to the media that he will appear in SPAK, if the anti-legal measure against him "obligation to appear" is removed.
The hearing for the former prime minister is set to be held at 2:30 p.m.
Berisha is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", committed in collaboration with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezin.
SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as Prime Minister, has favored the privatization procedures of the former "Partizani" complex and the direct beneficiary has been Malltezi.
On the land of the former complex "Partizani", Malltezi, as an investor from the company "Homeplan" sh.pk, has carried out constructions and the benefits are calculated in the amount of 672 billion lek or 5 million euros./ CNA
