Dossa "Partizani"/ Today, hearing at the GJKKO for Berisha

This Wednesday, the court session against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, for the "Partizani" case, will be held.

The hearing for the former prime minister is set to be held at 2:30 p.m.

Yesterday's session for the former prime minister was interrupted and postponed, as the defense asked for time to familiarize itself with the documents.

Berisha did not appear at GJKKO, but was represented by his lawyers, Genc Gjokutaj and Sokol Mêngjezi.

The former prime minister himself declared yesterday in a conference with journalists that he will not go to court unless the measure "mandatory appearance" is removed, which he claims is unconstitutional.

Berisha is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", committed in collaboration with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezin.

SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as Prime Minister, has favored the privatization procedures of the former "Partizani" complex and the direct beneficiary has been Malltezi.

On the land of the former complex "Partizani", Malltezi, as an investor from the company "Homeplan" sh.pk, has carried out constructions and the benefits are calculated in the amount of 672 billion lek or 5 million euros./  CNA
