The Head of the Competition Authority, Denar Biba, present at the Civic Initiatives Committee, has raised a number of issues for the institutions he heads.

Biba said that while salary increases occurred in all institutions, the salaries of Competition Authority employees were reduced.

Biba also said that the coefficient on which salaries were calculated was also reduced. Further, in his speech, Biba said that unlike other institutions, the Competition Authority returns more revenue to the state than it receives.

Biba suggested that a portion of the funds be left to the Authority to serve the services in the institution and this would prevent the Competition Authority from requesting additional funds every year.

" When the salary increase occurred, we had a salary reduction. This happened because we received the supplement for the doctorate. The salary coefficient on which it was calculated at that time also decreased. In the hierarchical system, the Secretary General receives more than the chairman of the Competition Authority.

Unlike other institutions, which only seek income, the AK returns much more to the state than it receives.
