The Committee on Civic Initiatives is holding hearings with the Supreme State Audit Office for the 2026 budget.

The representative of the SAI, in presenting the requests, said that more funds are needed for 2026 as the SAI will be hosting an important international activity and that IT equipment, a building, or additional staff are needed.

The Albanian Supreme Audit Office has requested 60 million lek more for investments.

" The budget requests for 2026 are oriented towards 3 expenditure items, salaries, goods and services, and capital expenditures with internal spending.

The SAI will host an important international event. 31.6 million lek has been allocated for the reconstruction of buildings, the purchase of office equipment, and the purchase of vehicles. For 2026, we are requesting 60 million lek more.

The SAI stated that the budget implementation for 2026 is 77%, while by the end of the year it will be up to 97%.

The Albanian Supreme Audit Office was approved a fund of 694 million lek for 2025.
