Incinerators, hundreds of thousands of dollars for travel agencies

The incinerator concession in Albania, which started after the Socialist Party came to power, is one of the most accused, also called the corrupt affair of the century. There are 178 million euros in the form of concession contracts, starting in Elbasan with 22 million euros, in Fier with 28 million euros and in Tirana with a concession worth 128 million euros.

But in addition to abuses with concession contracts for 3 incinerators, where only one is completed, other scandals are coming to light day after day. CNA.al has revealed through documents how the incinerator companies have paid in the amount of millions of euros journalists, peripheral portals, even the main media in the country.

These payments are justified as advertisements. Meanwhile, other details continue to come to light. Incinerator companies have also paid millions for travel agencies. According to official data, the company One Explorer, has paid flights in total value for several months, 300 million Lek only from the incinerator company of Tirana.

So, these payments are made to a company which, according to the extract issued by the National Business Center is a travel agency, but also offers the service as a foreign exchange agency. Within a few months, this agency was paid 300.000 dollars.

According to the data made public in the show ?Now? by Erla Mëhilli on Euronews, it turns out that during the years 2018-2021, although during 2020 the pandemic was at its peak, Klodian Zoto?s companies have made trips worth 186 million Lek./CNA.al
