Saimir Tahiri in prison for filling the country with cannabis, Lefter Koka for corruption with incinerators, what about Edi Rama?

By Elvi FUNDO

Following the decision of the Appeal of the Special Anti-Corruption Court, Saimir Tahiri will have to suffer 3 year and 4 months in prison, after have been proven his connections with the Habilaj of Vlora, and the decision was for abuse of office.

So after almost 6 years of filling the country with cannabis, started in 2016, which was in fact not accidental, was convicted a senior official. We take for granted the fact that Albania was filled with cannabis because of Saimir Tahiri?s links to organized crime.

But let?s see what happened. Many of the police officers and directors fired at the time, have all returned to their duty. Many of the chiefs of police stations or police officers, who covered Albania with drugs are still on duty. Prime Minister Edi Rama himself is in office.

He has moved the directors of police and the Director General of Police. But the same police force, which was responsible for the country?s cannabis, continues to be on duty for the most part, while the former Interior Minister is in prison.

It is often said that the responsibility lies with the police, but the minister also has a responsibility. The court decided, and we already have a court decision. But not for the cannabis in Albania, but for abuse of office. But who did allowed the cannabis cultivation in all the country?

Is there no responsibility for police forces, is there no responsibility for the Prime Minister?

Is not Koço Kokëdhima responsible, who at that time spoke very enthusiastically about the legalization of cannabis, and the situation got out of control?

I raise these questions not to defend Saimir Tahiri, but to find the truth. Who cannabised the country, and is anyone responsible for it, because Saimir Tahiri has not been convicted of drugs. So the spread of cannabis in Albania has remained without responsibility.

But even if Saimir Tahiri did it, is Edi Rama responsible, because the albanians voted him as Prime Minister? Or he just doesn?t pay attention to this issue, because it has been re-voted two more times?

Is Rama himself responsible for appointing Saimir Tahiri as Minister of Interior, or for Artan Didi as Director of Police, or for accepting the changes in the State Police, and the fact that the whole of Albania was filled with drugs? There is something wrong here, and a Prime Minister has not taken any responsibility.

We go to the second minister, Lefter Koka. The latter has been arrested by SPAK, and is being investigated in connection with the Elbasan incinerator, an investment of 22 million euros, where at least about 4 million euros, or about 5 billion Lek, were found in his pockets or in his businesses, which have passed by incinerator companies.

Meanwhile, there are 28 million euros in Fier and 128 million euros in Tirana, and Lefter Koka did all this? Even in 2014, when the government met and approved the concessions, or even during the years 2016-2017. So all was made by Lefter Koka? It seems like Lefter Koka was the Prime Minister, and Edi Rama didn?t know anything?

Why does the country need a Prime Minister, who doesn?t know how are used 178 million from the budget, and when his ministers fill their pockets with taxpayers?money? For what we need a Prime Minister, when his minister fills the country with drugs, and he pretends to not see this, on the contrary publicly defends him?

And now he comes out and brags that ?I have done the justice reform!?. But what justice reform? Those who convicted Saimir Tahiri of abuse of office, and when it is said that he has no responsibility for the drugs that covered all the country?

That reform that has brought only the arrest of Lefter Koka and no one else, and that seeks to close everything only with his ?head?. In fact, the ?head? of incinerators is not Lefter Koka. Incinerators are a corrupt history involving many officials, ministers and the Prime Minister. There are government decisions, signatures, requests for information.

There are decision documents that have been returned, there are violations of state laws, related to the approval of the medium-term budget, which start from the relevant ministers to the Prime Minister. Not forgetting the 2 key people in this affair, the General Secretaries of Lefter Koka and Edi Rama, Alqi Bllako and Ëngjëll Agaçi.

Albanians saw with their own eyes the filling of the country with cannabis, while Edi Rama told them the opposite. We were in a situation just like the story of the Naked King. Even we are facing corruption with incinerators, Edi Rama has again defended the affair of Elbasan, that of Fier and Tirana, and everything is being done to close this scandal.

Edi Rama tries to stay away from the scandals that happen to him, he wants to look like the culprit without guilt, because he has chosen or tolerated them. But the opposite is true. Edi Rama was aware of the country?s cannabis, so he has responsibilities as Prime Minister. Edi Rama was Prime Minister when were signed the incinerators’ affair, after government meetings were held, and we had a hand that moved all institutions, and for this he has political, moral and legal responsibilities./CNA.al
