Portugal, a disappointment. Ronaldo "blocked" against Congo

Portugal have been a total disappointment at the start of the World Cup. The Democratic Republic of Congo began their return to the World Cup after 52 years with a 1-1 draw against the Lusitanians in Group K.

Portugal took the lead in the 6th minute through Joao Neves, who headed home after an assist from Pedro Neto. The Africans responded immediately and created chances through Yoane Wissa and Cedric Bakambu.

Their efforts were rewarded at the end of the first half, when Wissa headed home a corner kick, scoring his country's first historic goal at a World Cup.

In the second half, Portugal attempted to regain the advantage, but Joao Cancelo's goal was disallowed for offside.

Cristiano Ronaldo had a good chance to score, but failed to finish. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that gives the Democratic Republic of Congo an important point at the start of the tournament.
