OFFICIAL/ Milan chooses new coach

Milan has officially appointed Ruben Amorim as the team's new coach.

The Portuguese signed a contract that ties him to the club until 2029, with an option for an additional season. Amorim will earn 4 million euros per season, as well as bonuses that include 1 million euros if he wins the championship and 500,000 euros for qualifying for the Champions League.

The 41-year-old coach comes after spells at Casa Pia, Braga, Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United. During his time at Sporting, he won two Portuguese league titles, two League Cups and a Super Cup.

Amorim is expected to apply the 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-3 systems, schemes that have characterized him throughout his career.

Meanwhile, Milan continue their efforts to bring in Markus Krosche as technical director, although he remains under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2028.
