The special detail in Portugal, as Diogo Jota remembers

The players of the Portuguese national team have caught the eye during their stay in the United States because of a common accessory they are holding.

During a media interview, midfielder Vitinha explained the origin and meaning of this accessory. He revealed that it was a special gift from the Prime Minister of their country, Luis Montenegro.

This object bears the names of all the players gathered, including a specific dedication to striker Diogo Jota, who passed away last year after a tragic accident.

The accessory is made of special materials that allow it to be worn even during minutes of play on the pitch. According to the PSG player, wearing it was a voluntary choice of the entire group.
