Two goals, a post and a spectacle. Belgium shares points with Egypt

The Belgian and Egyptian national teams shared points after a 1-1 draw in the super challenge valid for Group G of the 2026 World Cup.

The match met expectations by providing a dynamic game with numerous chances from both sides, especially during the second half.

The "Pharaohs" managed to open the scoring first in the 19th minute through a beautiful goal by Emam Ashour, ending the first half with the advantage.

As the second half began, the Belgians increased their attacking pressure, with De Bruyne initially being stopped by the post, before the equaliser came in the 66th minute. Mohamed Hany caused an own goal, after sending the ball into his own net in an attempt to block Romelu Lukaku.

Despite continued efforts in the remaining minutes, the score remained unchanged, allowing both teams to take one point each in this debut.
