Scored against France, who is the 18-year-old Senegalese who amazed everyone?

Winger Ibrahim Mbaye has attracted a lot of attention after scoring a goal against France at the age of 18, during his first World Cup match.

This achievement, which came after a one-on-one tackle on Theo Hernandez and goalkeeper Mike Maignan, confirms the talent raised in the Paris Saint-Germain academy as one of the most promising names in international football.

Mbaye was born in France of Senegalese descent and holds the record as the youngest player to make his debut as a starter in the history of the Parisian club at the age of 16 under the guidance of Luis Enrique. After representing the French youth national teams, he decided to finally choose Senegal, where he also managed to become the youngest scorer of this century at the Africa Cup of Nations.

His embrace at the end of the match with former teammate Kylian Mbappe was widely commented on as a symbolic moment of generational change.
