In Pogradec, the organization of the Puppet Festival "Xinxifilo" has been a tradition for several years. For the 18th year in a row, this festival is taking place in the lake city, as one of the most favorite activities of children. This puppet festival is centered on children, with a series of shows that have educational value in their content. Such activities are seen as an opportunity to take a few hours away from technology, which threatens their childhood day by day.

The director of the Festival, Eritan Kamolli, says that 8 troupes will participate in this edition, which will convey messages about children's education and everyday life.

"It is the puppet festival named "Xinxifilo", the 18th edition, and this year 8 troupes will participate, they will be the troupes from the cities of Elbasani, Vlora, Shkodra, Tetova, Korça, Tirana and Prishtina. In addition to the fun part, of course there are also messages about their education and everyday life."

The director from the city of Vlora, Eduard Selimi, says that children have left the shows due to the influence of technology, while he emphasizes that the interest in Vlora to see the shows has been great.

"We present ourselves with the show "The Frog Prince", we have adapted and modernized the show a bit, we have removed most of the decor. I think that the children have left since technology affects it to some extent, but the classical theater remains, we have started the performances in Vlora for 1 week and the interest has been great. There have been many requests. Pogradec has a fantastic audience, as the hall is full at every performance, so much so that they even sit in the square as there are no seats."

Part of this festival are troupes from all over Albania, such as Tirana, Shkodra, Korça, Elbasan, Vlora, but also Pristina and Tetova. For the participating troops, it is a special pleasure to return several times to Pogradec, where each of them brings a different message to the children.

Merita Smaja from Shkodra: "It is a pleasure to be in Pogradec for the umpteenth time, the greatest pleasure is that this time we come with a show not just with puppets, but also with actors "The Snow Queen". It was very well received in Shkodër and we hope that it will be well received here as well".

Hysen Mullajonuzi from Elbasan: "Elbasan has been a troupe that has regularly participated in Xinxifilo, removing that part that had a break for a while. We are permanent in Pogradec with great desire and pleasure. We come with a show about the tree and the king, it is the message about nature and ecology, how to maintain the trees, the system, the nature, and it is a part that apart from the messages, there is also fun and play inside with the children."

Muhamed Hjadari from Tetova: "It is the 5th time we participate in Xinxifilo, we have participated regularly, but due to the interruption we also did not come. We have the show "Strange School".

The festival, which takes its name from Mitrush Kuteli's puppet character, will be held for 4 days in a row in the lake city. Children will have the opportunity to see beautiful performances by the participating troupes, as well as receive special messages about life./ CNA TV
