Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha

SPAK has requested authorization from the Assembly for a stricter security measure against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, related to the Partizani case.

SPAK's request will be examined on Monday, while a group of 30 opposition MPs have filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court regarding the removal or restriction of the freedom of MP Berisha.

The MPs stated in the lawsuit that the measures taken by SPAK for the former prime minister should be declared incompatible with the constitution, since authorization from the Assembly was not obtained earlier.

They also demanded the suspension of all measures taken against Berisha, until the Constitutional Court gives its opinion.

CNA has learned the names of the deputies who signed this request submitted to the Constitutional Court.

The 30 MPs who have signed against Berisha's arrest are:
