28 PD MPs submitted a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court where they requested the suspension of coercive measures against Sali Berisha and the interpretation of Article 73 of the Constitution, point 2 thereof.

They describe the measure given by SPAK to Sali Berisha as a violation of the fundamental law of the state and a political decision.

After submitting the request to the Constitutional Court, there was a reaction from MP Oerd Bylykbashi.

He said that the lawsuit filed seeks to resolve the competences between the judicial and legislative powers for the immunity of the deputies.

"We request that the Constitutional Court interpret Article 73 of the Constitution as taking the competences of the Assembly from the justice system, this is a strong clash of what is the competence of the Assembly. The immunity is not there for nothing, but to protect the Parliament and not the deputies individually from actions that seem to be persecution of a political character.", he said./ CNA
