In a press statement, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the European Union is very satisfied with the progress that Albania has made in recent years for integration into the European family. 

Thus, Rama revealed details of the meeting between the European Union and the countries of the Western Balkans, where it is known that official Athens was against Albania. 

"Our prospects for the EU were discussed. They talked about the normalization process between Serbia and Kosovo, about the need to align the Western Balkans and the EU. I am very happy to share with you today the fact that the member countries have a very positive assessment of the project of Albania. These days I will organize a thank-you meeting of the members of this team, which in total, if we take the negotiators, is about 1,000 people, which includes not only execution institutions but also independent institutions. A team has made 777 presentations in Brussels over 14 months. Thanks and gratitude for the organization and professionalism and discipline of the 36 component teams of this team. This was the last EU summit for the Western Balkans under the current leadership. We are sincerely grateful, that the Western Balkans has been heard", said the head of the Albanian government./ CNA
