Deputy Agron Shehaj has created a new political force.

Shehaj, during an interview on the show "The Unexposed", said that he did not see any future in the Democratic Party, so he left. According to him, his decision came after the very poor result in the May 14 elections.

A emphasized that currently the Democratic Party is a ship heading for the rocks.

"As in 2017 when I entered politics and as in 2021 when I ran against Basha, I believed that the DP must change in order to become an alternative. I have tried within PD to give my contribution, as much as I could, for this change. After the last election, despite the bad and unfair conditions, I did not see any hope for this change. More than a sinking ship, I see a ship headed for the rocks in PD. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see a future there, nor the possibility of creating a credible alternative. I don't want to wish bad luck to the DP, because it is the party I have been in, but I am of the opinion that it is not the right way. I think differently and that's why I decided to leave", said Shehaj. 

The lawmaker clarified that he communicated his departure from the party to Sali Berisha, after losing the May 14 elections./CNA
